Tasmania's government operating deficit dropped as economic growth moderates

The state's General Government Sector Net Operating Deficit has decreased by $91.2 million for 2025-26 and by a total of $285.6 million over the Budget and Forward Estimates, largely driven by higher revenue outcomes.
