Consideration of personal income tax amendments has come to a close with all three stages of the Government’s changes to its Personal Income Tax Plan being passed by the Senate on Thursday.First proposed in the 2019-20 Federal Budget, the package will change personal tax rates and brackets, and also provide increased offsets for low and middle income earners in the form of an amended temporary low and middle income tax offset (LAMITO) and a new low income tax offset (LITO).
