Surge in online shopping as Australians seek savings

Retail stores are beginning to bounce back, with both clothing, footwear, personal accessory and department stores enjoying gains, writes KPMG Economist Terry Rawnsley.

Australians under cost-of-living pressures appear to be turning to online shopping in the hunt for bargains, with online non-food related retail sales surging nearly 11 percent this year following a flat few years.
