KPMG Residential Property Market Outlook – August 2026

KPMG now expects weakness to persist through 2026, with national house values falling by 1.1 percent and national units rising by 2.2 percent.

National house prices rose 5.5 percent and national unit prices rose by 6.6 percent over the year to the June quarter 2026, falling short of our earlier forecasts and showing a clear slowdown from the strong growth recorded in late 2025.
