Objections on hold as Commissioner appeals JobKeeper case

As discussed by Keith Swan and Sumitha Krishnan, taxpayers who believe their eligibility to JobKeeper has been denied by the ATO in similar circumstances as this case should lodge an objection now.

Following the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (Tribunal) decision in favour of the taxpayer on 21 December 2020 in the first JobKeeper payment case, Apted and Federal Commissioner of Taxation [2020] AATA 5139 (Apted), the Commissioner filed an appeal to the Full Federal Court on 15 January 2021.
