United States’ job openings fall to lowest in four years

Labour demand and labour supply are both declining at the same time in the US, with firms cautious about hiring, as discussed by KPMG US Senior Economist Matthew Nestler.

The number of job United States (US) openings stayed flat in August. There were 7.2 million jobs available at the end of the month, according to the latest Job Openings and Labour Turnover Survey (JOLTS); that is the same as the month prior.
