Victorian Budget 2024

The State Budget will continue with key tax reform measures, including Victoria’s proposal to progressively abolish stamp duty on commercial and industrial properties, as outlined by Sarah Shaw, Jacqueline Wood and Ben Stark.

The Victorian Budget 2024-25 was delivered by the Treasurer Tim Pallas on Tuesday 7 May 2024. There are no significant changes to Victoria’s major property taxation regimes. The Budget forecasts a net operating deficit of $15.2 billion deficit with smaller deficits expected over the forward estimates to 2027-28.
