New food donation tax offset – legislation introduced to Parliament

Legislation has been introduced to Federal Parliament which proposes a new food donation tax offset for companies in relation to expenditure incurred in undertaking food donation activities for registered food charities. The aim of the measure is to reduce wastage and food insecurity in Australia by incentivising food donation activities.
