South Australia 2021 Budget: Strong GST, stamp duty receipts help shrink debt

While the South Australian Government had forecast a $2.6 billion deficit at the time of the 2020-21 Budget, stronger GST and stamp duty receipts have helped shrink the deficit to $1.8 billion in 2020-21. Duty revenue is expected to grow by 16.9 percent in 2020-21, with total collections estimated to be $214 million higher than estimated as part of the 2020-21 Budget.
